To all you mothers out there...

We celebrated here with breakfast in bed for the Moms.  Lots of summer clothes for Mom as picked by Evy.  Flowers, seashells, and drawings for the Madre.  Then a trip to the beach, followed by dinner at this new burger joint down in South Beach.   Good day.

The kid has been riding solo for about six months now...it's extended his range enormously...with both kids on their scooters, we can cover a mile to a mile and a half on weekend adventures.  You should see the reaction the kid gets from folks when he is really moving, and don't let this video fool you...he can really move.  He pulled this out of the neighbors yard and has been teaching himself to ride for the last month or so...we'll get the kid a half pipe for his 2nd birthday...

Evy (and to a lesser extent JoJo) is wild for Easter (And Halloween and Christmas and Arbor Day for that matter).   This made the Easter Weekend insane and exhausting and beautiful.  It also yielded lots and lots of cool pics.  Dig it!

Evy likes getting ready for holidays as much as the holiday itself...here she is going steadily more insane w/preparation fever...

 

 

 

 

The thing to note about the following picture is that it was taken on Thursday.  Already E was in bunny shirt and reading and re-reading Easter cards from her granparents....

Of course, once you put your kids out on the street you expose them to the dangers of street life...(notice the Hanna Montana guitar)

 

One Saturday a month they do a little Arts programming downtown...we try to expose the savages to some refinement now and then...

A couple Saturdays ago Evy and I went on a father/daughter field trip. 

For Evy, of course, face painting is the world's highest art form...

And then, unwilling to play segundo, all his life...Cool Jed opts for a life on the road...

The problem w. living down here is that we gotta log lots of miles to see our kin...

So..last week we were back in Panhandle...everybody had a swell time...and then we all got sick...and we are just now recovering....
